I think I might have mentioned a million times before how much I hate romance stories.

But this film? The acting, the camerawork, the old school effects, the imagery?

Perfection.

I'm still awestruck. Do yourself a favour and watch it.

Ich habe vor... hm, möglicherweise sogar schon letztes Jahr mein upc*-Paket gewechselt und natürlich das größte genommen, da dieses das einzige mit ordentlich schnellem Internet ist.

Die zermürbenden Modem-Scherereien will ich einmal Gesichte sein lassen, was jedoch wieder zum Vorschein gekommen ist: Die TV-Box.

Diese hat nämlich keinen Aus-Knopf. Das höchste der Gefühle ist Stand-By. Ja, genau. STAND-BY.
Im Energiesparzeitalter. Sehr schlau.

Deshalb habe ich kurzerhand den Stecker gezogen, schließlich verspüre ich ungefähr alle zwei/drei Monate das Bedürfnis, mich durch diverse Sorten ärgsten TV-Käse zu wühlen.

Seit einigen Versuchen jedoch bekam ich immer "Zugriff verweigert", wann immer ich das schwarze Monster wieder angesteckt habe.

Also Anruf beim Support (habe mittlerweile mehr Zeit bei dieser Nummer vertelefoniert als mit sämtlichen FreundInnen, BekanntInnen und FamilienInnen).

Stellt sich heraus, dass die Box UNBEDINGT angesteckt (sprich: im Dauerverbrauchsmodus) bleiben MUSS, da sie sonst - und jetzt kommt's - wichtige Software-Updates verpasst.

Hallo?! Das ist ein gottverdammter Fernsehempfänger, die notwendige Software hat mitgeliefert zu sein!
Außerdem, wenn "nachhause Telefonieren" schon notwendig sein muss, dann sollte das auch beim jeweiligen Einwählen ins Netz funktionieren, und nicht mit durchgehendem Hängen an der Strippe.
Noch einmal, das ist Technologie des 21. Jahrhunderts, kein Komapatient.

Im Übrigen ist es nicht beruhigend oder schmeichelhaft, von der Serviceperson ständig mit dem Namen angeredet zu werden, sondern nervig bis unheimlich.
